Hi, I’m Christina Stinn, founder of Stinn Translations. My goal is to help writers like you create texts in English and German that resonate with your readerships and that you can be truly proud of.

So how did I get here?
I began translating, editing, and proofreading as a part-time employee back in 2017 while I was still in graduate school.
When I realized how much I enjoyed the art of writing and editing in both languages, I decided to take the plunge and started my full-time business in 2017, which I have been growing ever since.
Thus far, I have been able to help hundreds of students, academics, businesses, and novelists improve their writing in English and German.

Fun fact:
Like many other translators and editors, I started out in a completely different field: science. My love for science and nature led me to pursue a career in ecological research first.
I occasionally still conduct fieldwork, mainly in Central Asia and the Middle East, to help collect population data on endangered bird species.
This way I get the best of both worlds: participating in important conservation research and helping others write up theirs.

Besides several years’ experience in the writing industry, I regularly take professional training courses and participate in webinars to keep up with the latest advancements in the field. I am currently a Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Proofreading and Editing (CIEP) und abide by its Code of Practice.
